On this day, exactly 80 years ago, our troops, along with other allied powers, had successfully raided utah, omaha, gold, juno, and sword. Not only to stop the axis powers, but to give us freedom. My grandfather served in WW2 as a ball gunner, and I am thankful that he, and along with millions of others, paid the ultimate sacrifice.
