A 17-year-old Iowa teen, Joe Salmon, is being hailed as a hero after risking his life to save an 83-year-old man and his dog when their Jeep broke through the ice on East Okoboji Lake. Ice fishing nearby, Salmon waded chest-deep into freezing water, used a knife to smash a window, and helped pull both to safety alongside other bystanders. His bravery and quick thinking have gone viral.
