The Feast of Trumpets is the first in a series of 3 fall feasts mentioned in scripture Leviticus 23:23-25 and to be clear there are other feasts that should be kept throughout the year and it\u2019s not the observed holidays. This is an observance of the harvest to come. A rest that coincides with the New Moon. Even the Moon takes a rest and reset from the light it shines. How much more should we? Agriculturally the seeds that were planted in Spring or late Winter reach maturity by Fall or early Winter. Farmers will bring what has matured into the threshing floor or barn to rest before sorting. Also to protect the harvest from the harshness of Winter or the ground (foundation) not being the right temperature to maintain what has been planted. How much more should we as people? You may not observe the Feasts but take this time to make a joyful noise of gratitude for the harvest that is about to come. Stop, reflect, and rest. Appreciate your life and the achievements you\u2019ve made so far. This is not the harvest but a rest and preparation of that which is to come. Do not be discouraged because the harvest is coming but the wheat has to be separated from the tares first, rest, then reap.
